Synopsis

Ninety-four patients with traumatic peri-trochanteric femoral fractures were randomized to receive bovine colostrum (n=46) or whey protein supplementation (n=48) for 21 days post-surgery. The primary outcome of interest was physical disability, measured by the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI).
