Synopsis
107 patients (age range 50 to 90 years), scheduled to undergo primary total knee arthroplasty, were randomized to have a cemented or uncemented femoral component. At the 5th post-operative day, the peri-operative blood losses were found to be similar with the use of a cemented or uncemented femoral component in the total knee arthroplasty procedure.
