Synopsis

Thirty-eight patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomized to receive 1 month of Harpagophytum procumbens treatment (n=18) or 10 days of daily meloxicam (n=20). Outcomes of interest included pain on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS), the Oxford Knee Scale (OKS) score, and the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index (WOMAC) score.
