Effects of Online Home Nursing Care Model Application on Patients with Traumatic Spinal Cord Injury
Risk Manag Healthc Policy. 2021 Apr 23;14: 1703-1709.Eighty patients with traumatic spinal cord injury discharged from hospital after surgery were randomized to receive an online nursing care model (n=40) or routine discharge guidance (n=40). The outcomes of interest included the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Short Form 36 (SF-36) quality of life questionnaire, and the incidence of complications. Outcomes were assessed 12 months post-discharge. Results of the trial revealed all outcomes to be significantly in favour of the online nursing care group compared to the control group (p<0.05 for all).
