Synopsis

Thirty-one patients with chronic insertional Achilles tendinopathy were randomized to receive low-energy extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) (n=16) or sham therapy (n=15). The primary outcome of interest was pain on a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS).
