Synopsis
Thirty-eight males with Achilles tendon ruptures (ATRs) were randomized into receiving Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) or a sham injection of isotonic saline. The primary outcome of interest included self-reported Achilles Tendon Rupture Score (ATRS) which was measured at 8 weeks, 3, 4.5-5, 6, 9, and 12 months follow-up.
