Synopsis
80 patients with trapeziometacarpal joint osteoarthritis were randomized to surgical intervention with either trapeziometacarpal joint arthroplasty with a pyrocarbon implant (PyroDisk; Ascension) or ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition.
