Synopsis

79 patients scheduled for an arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were randomized to receive pre- and postoperative celecoxib or placebo for 3 weeks. The outcome of interest was healing rate, and follow up was performed at 1 year. The findings from the study found no significant differences in healing rate between the celecoxib and placebo groups, despite a difference in healing rate of 19.4%. Readers...
