This meta-analysis included 11 randomized controlled trials involving 870 patients with knee osteoarthritis, comparing oral collagen supplementation to placebo. Pooled outcomes of interest included pain relief, functional improvement (WOMAC), and safety (adverse events). The analysis showed significant improvements in pain and function favoring collagen.
