Synopsis
One hundred and fifty-three patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty for severe knee osteoarthritis were randomized to receive either a peri-articular injection (PA; n=51), intra-articular injection (IA; n=51), or a combination of peri- and intra-articular injections (PA + IA; n=51).
