Synopsis
One hundred and three patients with chronic lateral ankle instability and osteochondral lesions of the talus were randomized to receive an arthroscopic microfracture surgery plus a modified Brostrom-Gould procedure at the same time (single-stage; n=52) or after 4-6 months of rehabilitation training (staged; n=51).
