Synopsis
Eleven randomized clinical trials were selected for this meta-analysis comparing functional outcome between home-based physical therapy programs and supervised outpatient physical therapy programs. Data on knee range of motion and patient-reported functional measures were pooled at 3, 6 and 12 months after surgery. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups in any analysis.
