Pain. Instability. Time away from sports. Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries are among the most common, and devastating, injuries in sports. These injuries disproportionately occur in young, active women, who have as much as 35x higher risk of ACL injury than men [1]. With approximately 50% of people with ACL injuries developing osteoarthritis [2], ACL injuries can be a major burden to both patients and the healthcare system.
