Follow up of clinical outcomes too short. With "original " polyethylene liners we saw most failures @ 15 + years of use.

I looked up your so-called evidence article and found it sadly lacking in credible evidence. The case for XLPE in hips has been settled and the AOA NJRR provides proper evidence that it has reduced osteolysis to such an extent that it no longer causes clinical hip implant failure. Your article is based on outdated information from groups trying to preserve funding for their non-clinically relevant research involving conventional PE. In Australia (and probably the rest of the world, as we would see if we had proper registries like Australia), no one is using conventional PE in hips.
