Synopsis
Sixty patients that underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction were randomized to receive either water-based treadmill walking training (n=31) or land-based treadmill walking training (n=29). The primary outcome of this trial was to assess the maximal ratio of peak torque to body weight (PT/BW) of the hamstrings and quadriceps after 3 weeks.
