108 feet (96 patients) were randomized to either receive a scarf osteotomy or chevron osteotomy as treatment for hallux valgus. The results at 27 months demonstrated that both the scarf and chevron osteotomy groups reported significant improvement in AOFAS scores, as well as better correction in hallux valgus angle (HVA) and intermetatarsal angle (IMA), with no statistical significant difference ...
