Synopsis

690 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee were randomized to receive 2.5 mg of tanezumab, 5 mg of tanezumab, 10 mg of tanezumab, or a placebo. The results of the study indicate that the patients treated with tanezumab experienced a significant improvement in knee pain and function, but also an incidence of adverse events of 55 to 60%.
