120 patients scheduled to undergo arthroscopic ACL reconstruction were enrolled in this study and randomized to either receive an injection of 5 µg sufentanil, 1µg/kg clonidine, and 20mL ropivacaine, 0.5%, or an injection of 1 µg/kg clonidine and 20 mL ropivacaine, 0.5% without sufentanil.
