Thirty-two patients diagnosed with AO/OTA 31-A2 trochanteric fractures were randomized into two treatment groups: one group received a sliding hip screw alone (SHS; n=14), while the other group received SHS along with an additional trochanteric stabilizing plate (TSP; n=17).
