Synopsis

Twenty patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain were randomized to receive either lumbar (remote) myofascial release (n=10) or hamstring myofascial release (n=10). Outcomes of interest included range of motion in passive knee extension after 2 weeks of both the right and left legs. Passive knee extension in both legs was similar between the two groups.
